TRACK-COVID Study

The TRACK-COVID Study is a research initiative aimed at identifying the risk factors associated with SARS-CoV-2 infection and understanding the variability in symptom presentation among those infected. The study recruited around 20,000 participants from existing cohorts, specifically the INTERVAL, COMPARE, and STRIDES studies, which are part of the NIHR Blood Donors Studies BioResource. By leveraging these cohorts, the study seeks to explore why some individuals develop symptoms of COVID-19 while others remain asymptomatic. This research is significant as it could provide insights into the biological and environmental factors influencing COVID-19 symptomatology, potentially guiding public health strategies and informing clinical management of the disease.
