To present a translation of Jay W Forrester's program published in <i>World Dynamics</i> (Cambridge, Mass: Wright Allen Press, 1971) from the original language to a more generally available one: BASIC. Forrester's work was a computer simulation of the relationships among a number of quantities generally believed to be important to the future well-being of mankind: population, pollution, capital investment and natural resources.
