This study is the third in a series of national surveys commissioned by the Department of the Environment to investigate people's environmental concerns, awareness and behaviour. The previous two surveys were carried out in 1986 and 1989. Concern about the environment; optimism about what can be done; allocation of responsibility; other environmental action; knowledge and awareness; need for information; personal green actions and reactions; environmental policy options.
