Public Attitudes Towards the European Parliament and Local Authority Elections, June 2004
This project comprised public opinion research, conducted by ICM Research on behalf of the Electoral Commission, to measure and explore public attitudes toward the European Parliament and Local Authority elections that were taking place across the UK on June 10th, 2004. It also explored attitudes toward the all-postal arrangements for voting. Topics covered included voting behaviour and intention, postal voting, attitudes to local government, the European Parliament and European Union, political interest, awareness and knowledge, media coverage of the elections, election campaign awareness, political attitudes, religious affiliation, age, gender, social class, economic activity, household composition and ethnic group.
