Norfolk Health Care Survey, 1980
The aim of this project was to clarify the effects of accessibility on the use of health services in Norfolk. It was carried out in the city of Norwich and also in villages with and without general practitioner services, both near and distant from Norwich. The aim was to investigate the reasons behind the observed effects of accessibility and to identify the characteristics of people most likely to be affected. Variables Information collected included people's use of health services (consultations with general practitioners, attendances at out-patients clinics and in-patients admissions) people's assessment of their own health (based on General Household Survey questions) and people's expectations regarding health care.
