These data comprise a collection of information on standard questions asked in all questionnaires dated 13th September 1967 to 10th May 1970. This is a merged file created for Nuffield College. Attitudinal/Behavioural Questions How respondent would vote if there was a general election tomorrow, and party respondent normally inclined to support. Satisfaction with: the Government, Prime Minister, Leader of the Opposition. Assessment of Government's management of economic affairs; would Conservatives do better/worse/same. Satisfaction with standard of living, prediction for own standard of living next year-better/worse/same. Strength of party support. Whether eligible to vote at 1966 General Election, whether voted, for which party. Would Britain be better run by one man elected to take charge. Opinions on Britain joining the Common Market. Background Variables Age, sex, class, trade union membership, education (age finished full-time education), marital status, number in household, number of electors and non electors in household, whether any children in household, car ownership and purchasing of petrol.
