Health Education Monitoring Survey (HEMS), 1995 / HEMS
The purpose of the 1995 Health Education Monitoring Survey (HEMS) was to provide a baseline measure of a set of health promotion indicators relating to health-related knowledge, attitudes and behaviour (which were developed by the Health Education Authority) of a sample of adults aged 16-74. The aim of subsequent surveys is to measure any change against this baseline. Household characteristics; socio-demographic characteristics of respondents; general health; skin cancer; smoking; alcohol drinking; physical activity; nutrition; sexual health.
