Economic Growth in Eastern Europe, 1946-1975 : Causes of Variation over Time and between Countries
The purpose of this study was to build up a suitable data bank for the investigation and to examine the causes of variation, in economic growth over time and between countries. Variables Industrial output, gross and value added; employment in terms of manhours, capital stock, investment in fixed assets. All these variables relate to industry total and major industrial branches. There are, in addition, variables concerned with education, labour shifts and operation of capital stock.
