Daily Life of the Unemployed, 1982 : Social and Psychological Dimensions
To examine the pattern of daily activities of unemployed men in an area of traditional high unemployment and to investigate activities, background characteristics and psychological health. Variables Time budget data, biographical data, work involvement, pycholoical health. Measurement scales: (i) General health questionnaires - 12 item version (Goldberg, 1978). (ii) Work involvement scale (Warr, Cook and Wall, 1979). Time budget analysis based on J. Gershuny (1980) <i>Social divisions of labour</i> (SPRU, University of Sussex). Questionnaires partially replicated I. Miles (1983) <i>Adaptation to unemployment</i> (SPRU, University of Sussex).
