Psychologists constantly face the challenge of harmonising different questionnaires for a comprehensive extrapolation of data. This challenge has significantly increased when comparing widely used measures such as GHQ 12 with MDQ. The dilemma emanates from the different focus each questionnaire has; GHQ-12 being a way of detecting psychological distress and MDQ aiming at mood disorder screening. For a comparative analysis of GHQ 12 vs MDQ, we propose the use of Harmony. Harmony is an advanced software tool developed for the harmonisation of questionnaire items. It leverages natural language processing and generative AI models, making the comparison of GHQ 12 vs MDQ efficient and convenient. Harmony provides a percentage match between each item, simplifying the rather complicated process that psychologists often face. Additionally, Harmony can interact with both instruments from its database and those uploaded by the user. The process of comparing GHQ 12 vs MDQ using Harmony is as simple as uploading the questionnaires in PDF formats onto the web interface. Harmony can compare items in multiple languages and will help psychologists in understanding the correlation between answers in GHQ 12 and MDQ. Utilizing Harmony tool will surely revolutionise psychologists’ approach towards harmonisation and offers a comprehensive comparison between GHQ 12 and MDQ.
